In 1972, Hiram and Verdell Pettey opened the doors of S&M Salvage to Southeastern Minnesota's snowmobile enthusiasts. These entrepreneurs implemented their idea that snowmobiliers would like to have access to quality used snowmobile parts at an affordable price.
The results turned out better than what they had expected. Their idea catapulted their success making Hiram and Verdell's business a household name among snowmobiliers and boaters here in Minnesota. In 1988, S&M Salvage made wake for its sister, S&M Marine. Again, Hi and Verdell applied their idea that even boaters, like snowmobiliers, would like access to quality used parts. Mariner Outboards and Starcraft Boats lead the way for this new satellite of the S&M family.
On January 1, 2000, S&M Marine finally became incorporated; allowing the business diversify itself. Today, S&M sells new and used parts, accessories, and equipment for boating enthusiasts. Our product lines consist of Johnson-Evinrude (OMC), Mercury, and Suzuki Outboards,
